"Green looks a color called verdigris. It is very green by itself, and it is artificially made by alchemy from copper and vinegar. It is good for working on wooden panels when mixed with glue. Take care never to bring it near white lead, for the two are deadly enemies in every way. [...] Use it when you want to paint green grass; it is beautiful for the eyes but not permanent."
